Heinrich Wilhelm Schweickhardt (1746-1797)

Heinrich Wilhelm Schweickhardt (1746 Brandenburg -1797 London). Schweickhardt  was a painter, watercolourist, engraver and draughtsman. he painted portraits, landscapes and landscapes with figures. He also created designs for tapestry. Schweickhardt was the pupil of Girolamo Lapis and produced etchings. He went to the Hague in 1775 and lived in London from 1786. His son, Lodevyk Schweickhardt, was an engraver. He died in 1797 in London.
