Pastoral Landscape

This lovely Scottish Impressionist landscape oil painting is by noted artist David Fulton RWS. Painted circa 1900 it is a pastoral landscape depicting a shepherd and his flock in a landscape. The palette is one of rich autumnal tones with the sheep in the middle ground and water and wooded hills beyond. The Impressionistic brushstrokes are fluid and bold. This is a superb Scottish landscape from a well respected artist.

Autumn in the Glen

This lovely Scottish Impressionist oil painting is by John Henderson. The painting  dates to circa 1910 and is an oil on canvas in a stunning and fresh palette. The wooded moreland stream landscape is titled Autumn in the Glen and was possibly painted in Stirling as there are other examples of his work which date to this period. There is wonderful Impressionistic brushwork, especially in the water. A lovely autumnal painting and an excellent example of John Henderson's work.
