Title Portrait of a Girl with Daisy Garland
Description This is a superb French Breton School portrait oil painting painted circa 1880. The painting is a three quarter length seated portrait of a young girl. She is wearing an egg shell blue dress, so often seen in Breton portraits such as that by Stanhope Forbes in the Walker Gallery, Liverpool. Her dark hair is framed by a white bonnet. On her lap she holds a beautiful garland made of daisies. The detail and colouring are just exquisite. A really stunning Victorian portrait oil painting.
