A glorious Post Impressionist seascape and a fine painting in a period frame. In excellent condition and framed with gallery label verso. This is a fine painting by a British listed artist who is represented in many public collections.  A fine example of an early 20th century marine seascape oil  painting.

Biography Charles Stenhouse (1878-1946) was born in Dundee and studied at Glasgow School of Art. He lived in Glasgow before moving to Crail and painted seascapes, harbour scenes and French landscapes. Exhibited Royal Scottish Academy 9, Glasfow Institute 60, Liverpool 1. The work presented was exhibited at The Glasgow Art Club.
