Colin Gillespie Mitchell (1870-1938)
|Artist Name||Colin Gillespie Mitchell (1870-1938)|
|Description||An original oil painting by Colin Gillespie Mitchell RWS. This painting depicts a river in a superb panoramic Scottish Perthshire landscape and was painted circa 1923. It was an exhibited work and retains a Glasgow label verso. The painting is a large size and fine example of an early twentieth century Scottish oil with good subject. The colour moving away from the foreground landscape is particularly appealing.
