Description |
A fine Art Deco circa 1925 oil painting on canvas by noted British artist Ernest Borough Johnson. We have a couple of portraits of children by Johnson and this is a lovely example of his work. He perfectly captures their innocence and excitement. This lovely painting is of two young girls sat together on a sofa, bows in their hair and one holding a small bouquet. A statue stands on a tall plinth beside them. It looks to be a special occasion. Signed middle right. |
