Painted circa 1955, the painting is a portrait of a woman gazing out of a window. Is she watching someone leaving or arriving or simply watching the world go by or lost in her own thoughts? This is a gorgeous painting with a stunning range of colours and one of our favourites.  The painting is by a British listed female artist whose works have recently sold to the House of Lords.
