Peter L Field (1920-)

Artist Name Peter L Field (1920-)
Title Still Life of Pears
Description This lovely British still life oil painting is by artist Peter Field. Painted circa 1955 on board it is a still life of pears on a grey/purple background. It has echoes of Cezanne or Matisse. The pears are really vibrant mix of colours and stand out beautifully and the bold brushwork throughout is superb. This is a fine example of Field's still life oil painting from this period.
