Painted in 1884 it is a beautiful still life of a birds nest with eggs on a bank below primroses. There is tremendous detail such as a ladybird and drops of dew on the delicate primrose leaves. Biography | John Fitz Marshall RBA (1859-1932) was a British artist who painted landscapes, animals, still life and flower painting in oils. He was the son of John Marshall. He trained and spent the majority of his life in Surrey, later moving to Oxon.
