An original oil painting on canvas by John Reid Murray who exhibited with The Glasgow Boys in Europe. This painting depicts Loch Lomond. Painted in an Impressionistic impasto style with super colouring it is a good example of circa 1900 Scottish Glasgow Boy oil painting. The vivid bright colouring are particularly appealing. Tragically his life was cut short before he could make his name as famous as the other members of The Glasgow Boys. It is signed and titled left and a real gem. |
