Dogs in Art - Online Exhibition
Here at Richard Taylor Fine Art we have a number of dog paintings, as we just can't resist! Dogs are so special, as anyone who has a dog will know. Their unconditional love and loyalty are beyond compare.
Dogs are one of the most popular subjects for painting, sculpture, and photography. Throughout art history, they’ve made appearances with members of the aristocracy, self-portraits with famous creatives, and been immortalized as balloons—and that’s just a small fraction of the dog art that exists between the past and today. Canines are living symbols of protection, loyalty, and unconditional love, so it’s easy to see why they’ve been such a long and colorful part of our visual history. From My Modern Met.
Both Jane and I are dog lovers. Our first dog, Woody, was a springer spaniel whom we had the pleasure of sharing our lives with for over 14 years. She was a bundle of energy and just loved the beach. We now have Forest, a sprocker who is 3/4 cocker and a 1/4 springer. She's four now and has grown in to a lovely, calm, loving dog and is much smaller and less active than Woody, which suits us now we're older! She's also very good with our rescue chickens. We are off to Crufts at the NEC this year for the first time and so excited.
Please enjoy our selection of dog paintings by a variety of artists - some dogs are alone, some with other dogs and some with their human companions - all beautiful souls, their essence perfectly captured.
Please contact us at info@richardtaylorfineart.com if you would like to give any of them a forever home.
