Francis Wilson (1876-1957)

Francis Wilson (1876-1957). Born and died in Glasgow. Painter of portraits and landscape in oil and watercolour. Trained at the Glasgow School of Art where he won a travelling scholarship enabling him to study further in Florence, Paris and Rome.
Exhibited: Royal Scottish Academy 14, Royal Society of Watercolour Painters 3, Aberdeen Artists' Society 2, Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts 75, Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool 1 and Paris Salon. Represented in Glasgow Art Gallery.
