|This lovely portrait oil painting is by much exhibited British artist Edwin Roberts. The painting is an excellent example of Victorian romantic genre art and is of a Summer Beauty. |Edwin Roberts (1840-1917) was the son of the artist Thomas Edwards Roberts (1820-1901). Edwin Roberts exhibited extensively in London from 1862-1886, including at The Royal Academy and forty-six paintings at the Royal Society of British Artists.
