Edwin Sherwood Calvert (1844-1898). Calvert worked in Glasgow and North France where he created realistic coast and seascapes and then landscapes in the style of Corot in the beginning of his career. He exhibited his works in the British Royal Academy (1878-1896), in the New Gallery, in the Suffolk Street Galleries, New Water Colour Society and at the Paris Salon (soc.des Art.franc. , 1896). He exhibited Birmingham 3, Glasgow Institute 31, Liverpool 17, Royal Academy 14, Royal Scottish academy 17, Royal Watercolour Society 36.
