Pyzer Cowen (fl. 1910-1930)

Pyzer Cowen (previously Cohen) was a 19th century Jewish born artist who taught at the Slade School of Art along with his brother Ephraim. His mother, Annie Cohen nee Moses/Moss was born in Lozd, Poland and emigrated to London. His father was Davies Cohen. Annie stayed in the UK with her husband and own family when the rest of her siblings emigrated again to South Africa. Pyzer Cowen exhibited in 1923 at the New England Art Club and lived at 16a Soho Square, London.
