Pyzer Cowen (fl. 1910-1930)
Pyzer Cowen (previously Cohen) was a 19th century Jewish born artist who taught at the Slade School of Art along with his brother Ephraim. His mother, Sarah Cohen nee Moses/Moss was born in Poland and emigrated to London. She stayed in the UK with her own family when the rest of her siblings emigrated again to South Africa. Pyzer Cowen exhibited in 1923 at the New England Art Club and lived at 16a Soho Square, London.
