Edwin Brown (1814-1891)

Edwin Brown (1814-1891). Victorian Animal Artist, Edwin Brown, was born in 1814 in Mancetter, Warwickshire and is most recognised for his portraits of horses, farm animals, dogs. He also painted hunting scenes as well as landscapes and portraits. Having moved to Coventry in his early 30’s, Edwin often signed his work “E. Brown of Coventry”.He exhibited at the Walker Gallery Liverpool.
