Harry William Adams (1868-1947)

Harry William Adams (1868-1947). Adam was a landscape painter who was born and lived in Worcester. He studied at the Academie Julian, Paris 1895-6 and also visited Switzerland. He worked for 8 years as decorative designer at Royal Worcester Porcelain Works. He also visited St Ives And the Newlyn School artists there. Winter Sleep, a stunning snowy river landscape was  purchased by Chantrey Bequest 1900 and currently in the Tate, London.

 RBA 1912, RBSA 1919. Exhibited Royal Society of Artists Birmingham 43, Walker gallery Liverpool 5, Manchester City Art Gallery 1, New Gallery 3, Royal Academy 38, Royal Society of British Artists 78, Royal Cambrian Artists 18.
