Description This lovely Scottish Edwardian interior portrait oil painting is by noted Scottish artist Arthur Percy Dixon. Painted in 1906 it is a seated portrait of a lady in the corner of a room, beside a table with a tea set on it. There is also a brass candlestick holder and painting on the wall. She is dressed in black with a white hat and veil behind. She is wearing a long gold chain and wedding ring and is sat with her hands clasped in her lap. She is half smiling and has kindly big blue eyes. There is lovely detail and brushwork in her facial features, which are beautifully illuminated, and also her hands.
