Robert Russell MacNee (1880-1952)
Robert Russell MacNee (1880-1952) - landscape and genre artist Robert Macnee was born at Milngavie and studied at Glasgow School of Art. He is best known for his sunny farmyards and cottages, farm animals and poultry, producing impressionistic paintings in oil, watercolour and pastel. Macnee exhibited regularly at the Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts; also at the Royal Academy, the Royal Scottish Academy and in Paris.
