Gilbert Baldry (1876-1928) was a Victorian born noted British portrait painter in oils. Many of his paintings of prominant figures are in National Thrust properties and museums and seldom come up for sale. His works include Louisa Matilda Scott, Mrs York (National Trust, Erdigg, North Wales), John Edward Courtenay Bodley (Balliol Colleague, Oxford) and William Hall Walker, 1st Baron Wavertree (Warranty Museum & Art Gallery) to name a few.
