| Description |
This charming British Victorian dog portrait is by renown animal artist Philip Eustace Stretton. Painted circa 1900 it is a portrait of a spaniel sat upright on a green leather chair with wood paneling behind her. She has gorgeous gingery ears and freckles on her nose and legs. She is gazing at the artist/viewer with her big brown spaniel eyes that would melt any heart. Stretton has perfectly captured her soft fur and wet nose and the brushwork and details are just lovely.
