Description This very charming British Victorian portrait oil painting is attributed to the circle of Henry Scott Tuke. Painted circa 1880 it is a lovely portrait of a little boy in a sailor's out fit. The artist has perfectly captured the facial details with great sympathy for colour and tone making this a superb portrait.

Biography Henry Scott Tuke RA RWS (1858-1929), was an English visual artist; primarily a painter, but also a photographer. His most notable work was in the Impressionist style, and he is probably best known for his paintings of nude boys and young men.
