A really charming image and a fine large example of his work with excellent Christies London provenance.

Biography William Oliver (1823-1901). Painter. Based in London he painted figurative and genre subjects. Among the works he exhibited at the Royal Academy were 'A Thing of Beauty is a Joy Forever', 'A Love Test', and 'The Secret Discovered'.
