Description This lovely British portrait oil painting is by Malvern female artist Alys Woodman. Painted in the 1920's the painting is a seated portrait of a woman in a pink dress and striking black hat, gloves and fan. The detail in the face is superb and really brings the sitter to life.  A lovely 20's portrait by an exhibited female artist.

Biography Alys Woodman (exhibited 1921-24) was a Birmingham artist who moved to the Malverns, Worcestershire. She was associated with the Malvern School of Art. She exhibited 4 paintings at the Royal Society of Artists, Birmingham.
