Frank Potter (1885-1958)

Artist Name Frank Potter (1885-1958)
Title Marigolds Still Life
Description This gorgeous British still life oil painting is by much exhibited artist Frank Potter. Painted circa 1940 is is an arrangement of marigolds and a variegated pot plant along side three books on a table. Behind them are a couple of etchings. The warm tones of the terracotta pots, orange flowers and foliage and worn books all harmonise beautifully and are slightly reflected in the table. Behind the arrangement are a portrait sketch and church ruins. There is something rather special about this still life and it's an excellent example of Potter's skill as an artist.
