|Description||Painted by Dorothy Gourley in 1957, this large, stunning oil on canvas painted in 1957 is titled Tomorrow’s Africa. It depicts a superb portrait of children as happy as innocence. It was exhibited at the Royal Academy and retains the exhibition labels verso. It is a vibrant and colourful painting and is housed in its original exhibition Bourlet frame.

|Biography||Dorothy Gourley (act. 1930's - 1950's). Gourley was a talented female artist who largely painted oil portraits and landscapes. She possibly travelled in Africa in the 1930's and Tomorrow's Africa, dated to 1957, may have been produced from sketches from this period. It was later exhibited at the Royal Academy.|
