Title Donkeys on Portabello Beach, Edinburgh
Description Scottish born Edinburgh artist Anna Dixon painted this charming Edwardian Impressionist oil painting. Painted in 1905, the location is the beach at Portobello, Edinburgh where Dixon painted several of her works. The Impressionist brushwork is just superb as is the the vibrant blue sea and bridles and blankets on the donkeys, making them standing out from the sand.
