Biography Claude Garanjoud (1926-2005) was a French painter, born 18 March 1926 in La Tronche (Isère), died on 20 December 2005 in Lyon. Claude Garanjoud was a painter who has worked painting on canvas, ink drawing on paper, collage and engraving. He also produced artist books working with Claude Ollier, François Cheng, Kenneth White, Jean-Marie Gleize, Adonis.
Description A very eye catching French modern abstract seascape which dates to 1959.It has London Piccadilly Gallery provenance from 1961 where it was sold to Martin Raikes. This large oil on canvas is titled Sails Grey Sea offering references to figurative and later French lyrical abstraction. It is signed lower right.
