This beautiful oil painting is by French artist Stephane Leroy. The painting depicts Lunch Al Fresco and the location, which is inscribed lower right, is Blaincourt in 1904. The village of Blaincourt-lès-Précy is a small French village located in the north of France. This French Impressionist painting details a table laid for lunch, bathed in dappled sunlight, surrounded by pots of flowers. The scene is captured beautifully with the Impressionistic brushwork. Very inviting.

Biography Stephane Leroy (1877-1940) was a French artist born in the 19th century. He worked in oils and specialised in landscapes and portraits. He was a pupil of Flameno and Cormon. He exhibited  at the Salon (Silver Medal in 1928). Leroy died in 1940.
